Traditional Acupuncture

massage 3Traditional Acupuncture takes an energetic approach to pathologies. By inserting needles into specific points on the body, they can either suppress or stimulate muscles and other soft tissues. It opens the flow of energy (Qi), increases circulation, and promotes healing in the affected area and compensating structures. Acupuncture is a wonderful alternative to healing when an injury is too acute to apply direct pressure to the area.

Acupuncture involves the use of other modalities such as:

  • The Electro-stimulation machine which serves to break the pain cycle and generate electric impulses between the needles.
  • Auricular treatments which involve stimulation of the ear using tiny needles to
provide direct neural connection to the brain to speed the healing process.
  • Cupping Massage which is used to drain excess fluids and toxins in the body by creating a suction type of pressure using glass cups on the skin. It stimulates the nervous system to initiate blood flow to stagnant muscles, and to loosen adhesions in soft tissues.
